2024 Ford F-150 Full Review: Innovations, Powertrains, and Design Overhaul
The 2024 Ford F-150 has undergone a significant redesign, blending modern aesthetics with advanced functionality. The exterior now features a "coast-to-coast" grille design on models like the XL and XLT, reminiscent of the classic F-series trucks from the '70s and '80s. Higher trims, such as the Lariat and King Ranch, sport updated headlamps and grille textures. The new Pro Access Tailgate, which swings out to 100 degrees, enhances practicality by providing easier access to the bed, even when towing.
Inside, the F-150 is equipped with the SYNC 4 system on a 12-inch touchscreen and a fully digital 12-inch instrument cluster. These digital upgrades are complemented by a 5G LTE modem for over-the-air updates and a new heads-up display. The powertrain lineup includes six options, from a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 to a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 for the Raptor R, all paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Ford's increased focus on hybrid models is evident, aiming to double production in 2024.
The redesign also introduces new safety features, like Ford Stolen Vehicle Services and BlueCruise 1.2 for hands-free driving. By simplifying the ordering process and reducing build combinations, Ford makes it easier for customers to configure their ideal F-150. This redesign ensures the F-150 remains a top choice in the modern pickup market.
